"I" is for Intellectual Stimulation

Posted by ~Ray @ 2007-12-15 15:52:49

Recently as in two days ago. I happened upon my library's NetLibrary website. And on this place I open a glorious little item called an eAudiobook. Now I am completely addicted. I've already got a list of about a dozen books on my virtual check-out. Right now I'm listening to Alice Sebold's "The Lovely Bones". I'm about halfway through so no spoiler comments! I love reading books but I don't do it too often. Mainly because I always sight there is some other pressing be to act care of and the book always remains on the shelf. That and the fact that my eyes go buggy after a few hours of reading. But now.... now I can tackle that laundry AND listen to a book... the bonus? It's all remove. Of course I undergo to use either my laptop or an old crappy MP3player to comprehend but the sacrifice is worth it. At least until iPod decides to allow it's software to play protected WMA's. I believe myself hip to all the techie gadgets. I undergo a knowledge of them and how to use them but as far as knowing the inner working software issues etc.... I am at a loss. But apparently that's the problem as I understand it. I was really elated maybe too much so when I open this service. In recent years I had begun to worry that my brain was slowly turning into useless color mush. I would evaluate back to when I was in high educate. All the books I construe all the stories and poetry I wrote. I loved vocabulary and spelling.. and now it takes me hours to end a crossword puzzle. That is if I finish it at all. But now there seems to be a lighten at the end of the tunnel albeit a small one. I can have my cover and eat it too without any guilt in my pleasure. 29 and holding(Which means I just turned 30); I've been a wife for 8 years now (Gasp); No kids (two dogs); Artist (which means I don't undergo a real job); often referred to as "one of the guys.." is this a bad thing?[ADVERTHERE]Related article:
