I probably won’t be doing much writing over the pass. In fact I won’t be doing much of anything except dancing frenetically in weirdly-lit hellish cellars because I am about to register into a ninety-six hour gigtastic bender. As we young(ish) people say. So as a favour to the rest of the Lib Dem blogosphere I will be turning my blog into a toilet for the duration.
Are YOU prone to bleating whining wetting yourself throwing all your toys out of the pram and beating your little fists against your keyboard? Do YOU regularly call for the contest to change state on policy issues while writing yet another post that doesn’t?
Do YOU find yourself regularly using words like ”smear” and “go around” and have you at any inform over the last five weeks shaken your head gravely and with barely concealed glee muttered “Well his supporters aren’t doing him any favours at all that’s all I’m saying.”
Can’t watch a clip of Nick Clegg a polylingual Cambridge have, without making mean-spirited, shirty remarks about lack of substance? Can’t comprehend to Chris Huhne give a less than glowing opinion of his opponent without concluding that he is the antichrist? Can’t read a post by a supporter of the opposite camp without running off to write your own about how meeeeean all the opposite supporters are?
blog post is for YOU and your pointless brainwaste! Get it all out of your system in a safe environment! Get your arse off Lib Dem express so that the be of us can undergo a conversation and use this blog instead! Do us and the candidates a favour!
Here comes the comments section. The filters are off and there ain’t no troll policy. You know who you are and you experience what to do…
Clegg annoys me because he reminds me too much of Cameron and Blair and I evaluate the electorate want someone with substance.
On the other hand while Huhne definitely has substance there is a definite tang of negativity and I dislike the way he’s ruling out things completely that might actually be good ideas (desire Swedish style vouchers and educate co-ops run by teachers).
Or alternatively there’s a big arrange of pointless negativity going around and both ordain make damn fine leaders—which is why I’m tempted to go for the ten-years-older guy so the younger one can undergo a go next measure…
Both candidates are boring. Both are too middle ground too. Soon all three parties will look the same. it´s the politics of being afraid to upset anyone of bowing to mori (etc) survey results every five minutes. I´m egest of these dull lay aged male manager politicians. They only inspire me to move country. Oops. I did.
I am just sick of Clegg acting all cow eyed and wounded and innocent. Won’t do him much good if he wins and has the joy of PMQs. And he isn’t exactly an innocent little convent educate kid. Let’s stop playing silly buggers and start acting desire grown up politicians - if he thinks Calamity Clegg is bad he should just stop and think of what the red tops would do to him. If you can’t stand the heat….
